Shane McGuirk is a new entry in the top 100 of the PDC Order of Merit following the Winmau World Masters.
The Irishman has climbed to 96th in the world rankings after reaching Round 1 of the World Masters.
Shane McGuirk Enters PDC Order of Merit At 96th
After making his full PDC debut at the 2026 Winmau World Masters, Shane McGuirk has now officially entered the PDC Order of Merit.
The Irishman has entered the world rankings straight away, making it inside the top 100 after just one event. McGuirk now sits in 96th place in the PDC Werner Ladder, with £5,000 in prize money to his name.
‘The Arrow’ earned his PDC Tour Card at UK Q-School last month, and has made a strong start to life in the PDC by reaching Round 1 of the World Masters, despite starting as a non-seeded player in the Preliminary Rounds Group Stage.
McGuirk won five matches just to make it into Round 1 of the 32-player televised tournament, before losing out to two-time major winner Nathan Aspinall in Milton Keynes.

The Monaghan man lost his first round tie with ‘The Asp’ by a scoreline of 3-1, but still pocketed £5k for his troubles. In the aftermath of the event with prize money distributed to all players, McGuirk entered the official rankings instantly.
With £5k now to his name since securing his Tour Card in early January, the 30-year-old is up and running in prize money and is set to earn a lot more this calendar year.
McGuirk will have set himself a reasonable target of prize money earned in his debut year, climbing the Order of Merit in the process. Although he is well down the rankings now, it would come as no surprise to see McGuirk break into the Top 50 within the space of 12 months.

Shane McGuirk Officially Ireland’s Third Ranked Darts Player
Now that he is officially listed at #96 in the PDC Order of Merit, Shane McGuirk is now ranked as the third best Irish darts player in the world.
William O’Connor remains the highest ranked Irishman in the world at #43, despite actually coming in as high as 15th in the latest world darts power rankings courtesy of FDI.
Behind O’Connor is Keane Barry, who currently occupies 58th place in the PDC Werner Ladder.
O’Connor has £183,000 to his name, with Barry currently sitting on £117,250 in prize money. Next up is the Castleblayney man McGuirk, who is a new entry following the 2026 Winmau World Masters at #96.
With £5,000 to his name, McGuirk trails ‘Dynamite’ by £112,250 in the money list. He is also £178k behind ‘The Magpie’, with plenty of work to do if McGuirk is looking to represent the Emerald Isle in the World Cup of Darts later this year.

Micky Mansell looks to have changed his nationality from Northern Irish to Irish, which means McGuirk is actually the fourth ranked player representing Ireland in the latest PDC Order of Merit.
However, Mansell has represented Northern Ireland his entire career, so might not be able to switch allegiances as easily as he would have hoped or even qualify to represent Ireland at the World Cup of Darts.
McGuirk will be hopeful of climbing the world rankings tournament after tournament, proving that he belongs in the PDC. He has already shown he has the game to beat top players, having already defeated Barry and Cameron Menzies en route to qualifying for the World Masters.
If ‘The Arrow’ continues his current form and on his current trajectory, he will break into the Top 50 of the PDC Order of Merit in no time.
