Shane McGuirk, Niall Culleton and Stephen Rosney All Earn PDC Tour Cards At UK Q-School

Three Irish players will join William O’Connor and Keane Barry at the PDC after earning Tour Cards at UK Q-School.

Shane McGuirk, Niall Culleton and Stephen Rosney successfully secured their PDC Tour Cards in Milton Keynes over the weekend.

Three Irish Players Earn PDC Tour Card At Q-School

There will be an additional three Irish players competing on the PDC Pro Tour for the next two years after darting success at UK Q-School for three top players from the Emerald Isle.

Shane McGuirk, Niall Culleton and Stephen Rosney all managed to get their hands on one of the coveted PDC Tour Cards at UK Q-School last week and over the weekend.

This now means they are professional darts players and will compete in PDC events for at least the next two years. It also means they will enter the Order of Merit and will earn money for their efforts in PDC events.

A total of 14 Irish darts players reached the Final Stage of UK Q-School, with three players going on to make their mark and earn one of the PDC Tour Cards on offer.

There were just 13 spots up for grabs at UK Q-School, with three of these going to the Irish contingent after strong performances in Milton Keynes over the course of last week and the weekend.

Culleton was the first Irish player to officially secure his PDC Tour Card, earning an automatic card on Friday, January 9 after a strong run in the Final Stage.

Next was McGuirk, who secured his PDC Tour Card automatically the following day. The final Irish player to make it out of UK Q-School with a Tour Card was Rosney.

The Irishman earned his Tour Card on the final day of play on Sunday after a strong run into the last 16. He qualified through the UK Q-School Rankings List, meaning he joins his fellow Ireland representatives in making it to the PDC after a successful run in Milton Keynes.

McGuirk, Culleton and Rosney Join William O’Connor and Keane Barry

With three more Irish players now officially earning PDC Tour Cards, this means there are a total of five Irish PDC Tour Card holders.

It wasn’t to be for either Dylan Slevin or Steve Lennon, who both aimed to win their respective Tour cards back at the first attempt at UK Q-School. However, it was a successful week for three other players.

Niall Culleton, Shane McGuirk and Stephen Rosney have officially joined William O’Connor and Keane Barry as an Irish Tour Card holder.

O’Connor was the only Irish player not to fall down the PDC Order of Merit following the 2026 World Darts Championship, and he remains the number one ranked player from the Emerald Isle.

Now he has another four Irish players for company, rather than just World Cup teammate Barry after both Lennon and Slevin failed to retain their Tour Cards.

With only 13 Tour Cards being dished out at UK Q-School this past weekend, three went to players representing Ireland. Out of 27 original Irish entrants at the first stage, this is an incredible feat.

Now that McGuirk, Culleton and Rosney have joined O’Connor and Barry on the PDC, this means there are five Irish players in total with a PDC Tour Card.

This is the most number of Tour Cards held by Irish players in history, meaning 2026 is already the most successful year for darts in the Emerald Isle on the PDC in terms of numbers.

Now, the three new Irish Tour Card holders will be hoping to replicate O’Connor and Barry and make themselves established names in the world of professional darts over the course of the next two years.
