Troy Parrott fans were left doing a double-take over a National League loan transfer on Tuesday evening.
The Republic of Ireland star has plenty of interested parties in his services this winter window.
Tottenham want Parrott back to help with their attacking woes in the Premier League this term.
And there has also been interest from Germany’s Bundesliga in the in-form striker.
Parrott’s form for AZ Alkmaar has been terrific this campaign and he has 16 goals from 23 appearances.
That’s not including the unbelievable run he had for his country where he bagged five in two games vs Portugal and Hungary respectively at the turn of the year.
Parrott’s scoring run has brought a number of suitors but Alkmaar can dig their heels in.
The frontman remains contracted until 2029 so there’s plenty time to run and he’ll command a big fee.
And that is one reason why supporters were baffled at news that Troy Perrett had joined Yeovil Town.
The Welsh midfielder, 19, joins the club from Cardiff City in a bid to play more at professional level.
And the unveiling of the new signing had punters rubbing their eyes at the thought of Parrott moving.
“Welcome, Troy Perrett!” the club’s statement read on social media.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of Troy Perrett, who joins on loan from Cardiff City.”
A number of people on X thought the same thing with Parrott’s potential exit spooking some.
And one person wrote in response to the Yeovil statement: “My heart jumped for a minute!”
Another commented: “When you order Troy Parrott from Temu.”
One added: “I panicked for a second,” as a fourth joked: “Troy Parrott from an alternate universe.”
Perrett may not have the same experience or reputation as Parrott.
But he will surely be hoping to make his own mark on the game with the Glovers.
Before his loan expires at the end of the season.
“I’m really pleased to be joining Yeovil Town,” the player said.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to get minutes and continue my development in a competitive environment.
“I’m looking forward to getting started and helping the team wherever I can.”
Town boss Billy Rowley added: “Troy is a talented young player with a lot of potential.
“He’s already been involved at senior and international level.
“This move gives the chance to gain valuable experience.
“We’re pleased to welcome him to the club.”
