Ali Abdelaziz Proposes Conor McGregor vs Justin Gaethje For UFC White House Main Event

MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz has proposed a possible Conor McGregor vs Justin Gaethje fight for UFC White House.

Abdelaziz, who manages Gaethje, wants his man to face McGregor for the vacant UFC Lightweight Title at the White House if Ilia Topuria vacates.

Conor McGregor vs Justin Gaethje Proposed For UFC White House

Ali Abdelaziz has proposed a mammoth clash for the UFC White House main event on June 14.

The highly respected MMA manager has proposed Conor McGregor vs Justin Gaethje as a potential match-up for the main event at the White House this summer.

This comes after McGregor revealed he will fight anyone at UFC White House, as long as he is included on the card.

There have been several names mentioned for McGregor’s return, including Michael Chandler, Jorge Masvidal and plenty more. Now, Abdelaziz has thrown Gaethje’s name into the mix for a UFC White House showdown with the former two-division simultaneous UFC king.

Abdelaziz manages Gaethje, and wants his man to get the shot at McGregor on the South Lawn come June 14. As of yet there have been no bouts announced for the White House, but it does look like McGregor will return once and for all.

McGregor has ramped up training in the past few months, and looks in the best shape both physically and mentally that he has been in several years. It seems he is serious about returning to the octagon, and Abdelaziz has put his man forward as a possible opponent:

“Screw the interim belt, grudge match, June 14th – Justin Gaethje vs. Conor McGregor,” said Abdelaziz.

Not only has Abdelaziz proposed McGregor vs Gaethje, but he has also mentioned the fight should be for the vacant UFC Lightweight Title, if indeed current champion Ilia Topuria vacates his belt.

This will all be worthless unless Gaethje defeats Paddy Pimblett for the interim 155-pound belt at UFC 324 on January 24. If Gaethje beats Pimblett, then McGregor vs Gaethje is undoubtedly a possibility. If Gaethje loses, then it simply is not.

Ali Abdelaziz Labels McGregor ‘An Irish Drunk’

As well as proposing a fight between his man Justin Gaethje and former two-division simultaneous UFC champion Conor McGregor, Ali Abdelaziz has doubled down and verbally attacked the Irishman too.

It’s no secret that McGregor and Abdelaziz don’t exactly see eye to eye, with several exchanges and back and forths over the years between the pair.

With McGregor in new UFC contract negotiations beginning in February, the possibility of him fighting ‘The Highlight’ at UFC White House will become crystal clear between now and then.

Should Gaethje beat Paddy Pimblett at UFC 324, then McGregor vs Gaethje makes sense, provided ‘Notorious’ can make the 155-pound lightweight limit.

Abdelaziz is already playing mind games with McGregor and trying to get under his skin, labelling the 27-year-old as a drunk in a recent interview with Submission Radio:

“Bring an Irish drunk guy to the White House to fight Justin Gaethje,” Abdelaziz said in an attempt to get McGregor to bite.

Whether or not the fight happens remains to be seen, but there is definitely a possibility if not a total probability.

A lot must happen between now and June for the fight to happen, but perhaps the stars could align and MMA fans finally get to see Conor McGregor vs Justin Gaethje in a compelling clash, maybe even for the UFC Lightweight Title.
