Conor McGregor Will Fight Anyone At UFC White House After Michael Chandler Bout Ruled-Out By Dana White

Two-division simultaneous UFC champion Conor McGregor insists he will fight anyone at UFC White House.

This comes after Dana White dropped a huge bombshell that McGregor won’t fight Michael Chandler at the White House.

Conor McGregor Open To Any Opponent At UFC White House

Dana White may have shut down any talk of Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler happening at UFC White House, but that doesn’t mean the Irishman won’t fight on the ground-breaking card on June 14.

In fact, the former two-weight simultaneous UFC champion is open to fighting anyone, as long as he features on the monumental UFC White House card this summer.

After the news broke that White will not entertain a fight between McGregor and Chandler, the Irishman took to social media to respond.

In a since deleted X (formerly Twitter) post, the 37-year-old wrote:

“Pick who ya want! The Mac sweat nothin and nobody. I’m TASTY SHOTS.”

It is evident that McGregor remains serious about returning to the octagon, and is down to fight anybody in his comeback bout.

McGregor ramped up training before Christmas and is back training almost full-time in SBG Dublin, alongside long-term friend and coach John Kavanagh.

Although the UFC President isn’t totally sold on McGregor actually returning at UFC White House, he didn’t completely shut down the idea.

The fact that McGregor immediately took to social media to announce that he is willing to fight anyone, demanding White to ‘pick who ya want’ shows he is deadly serious about making his return to the cage for the first time since UFC 264 back in July 2021.

Official announcements are expected to be made in late January/early February on who will actually fight at UFC White House, and whether or not Conor McGregor will feature on the card.

McGregor vs Chandler No Longer Going Ahead At UFC White House

UFC President Dana White shut down any talk of Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler happening at UFC White House this summer.

For months the talk has been that McGregor would return at UFC White House, with Chandler set to be his opponent on the opposite side of the octagon on June 14.

However, White has totally shut down any talk of that fight happening, insisting that the bout is years past its sell-by date and simply will not go ahead, especially not at the White House this summer.

There is still a high chance that the Irishman returns to the cage at UFC White House, but won’t be fighting Chandler. With the Chandler fight falling through after White’s latest announcement, ‘Notorious’ will be forced to look elsewhere for his comeback opponent.

A trilogy with Nate Diaz seems the most logical fight given the score is currently 1-1 and the pair have a rivalry to settle. There are plenty of other options too for the 37-year-old, which vary depending on what weight he will return at.

McGregor has made no secret of his ambition of becoming the first ever three-division UFC champion, meaning he wants to get his hands on the UFC Welterweight Title before he retires once and for all.

Although this seems unlikely, putting McGregor in the octagon with Islam Makhachev or whoever holds the 170-pound belt could well happen if the Dubliner makes a successful return in his comeback contest.

That comeback fight will not be against long-term rival Michael Chandler, who is once again being left in the lurch after missing out on a huge pay-day against the biggest name in mixed martial arts.
