Joe Collins is the subject of transfer interest from the Premier League and EFL Championship this winter window.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper is highly rated with Bohemians and has suitors lining up.
Collins has played for the club’s first-team twice in the Leinster Senior Cup since his debut.
He made that first appearance in 2023 against Shelbourne in what was an enthralling 4-3 win.
Collins may have shipped a trio of goals that day but he performed well.
His second game, the following year, also saw him concede three goals in defeat to Drogheda United.
The youngster is still considered to be a serious talent at his age group and that has brought with it interest from clubs in the Premier League and second tier of English football.
Pundit Arena understands Burnley have made contact with his club and representatives this winter window.
The Clarets are currently playing Premier League football and academy head Chris Casper is interested.
Should Collins wish to pursue a move to the top tier of the game in England, Burnley would be a sensible option.
But there is also interest in a move for the stopper from the Championship, too.
Swansea City and Hull City, we understand, are both admirers of the player who has been on the first-team bench at Dalymount Park six times to add to his two outings already.
It’s understood Collins hopes to have more appearances in a first-team under his belt sooner rather than later.
So an agreement with his next club could potentially be greenlit so long as a loan back to Bohs was involved.
It marks another big step for League of Ireland where selling top young talent is concerned.
Arsenal recently agreed a record €2million deal for Shamrock Rovers’ Victor Ozhianvuna.
The teenage prospect will move to the Emirates officially in January 2027.
Young Dundalk defender Vinnie Leonard also has interest from numerous clubs around the UK.
We at Pundit Arena told you how Celtic like Leonard and are in talks.
But they are one of many possible suitors with reports in England claiming Brighton had agreed a deal for the player.
We understand that to be wide of the mark right now with no decision yet made by the full-back.
On a smaller scale, Lincoln City signed Josh Honohan for a fee believed to be worth around €500,000.
It shows the true amount of talent available in the Irish leagues.
And clubs across the UK and beyond would be mad not to take a look at the divisions and send their scouts for daily January missions.
