Johnny Kenny was a man in form before new Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy arrived.
Martin O’Neill had the Irishman firing for the Hoops and his goal vs Rangers was his big moment in the jersey.
Kenny had hit five strikes for the season before the Frenchman walked through the door but has been missing ever since.
Celtic have been off the boil and Kenny’s form has been miserable for the club with massive chances spurned.
Injury to Kelechi Iheanacho had given the frontman an opportunity but Celtic hero Chris Sutton feels he has wasted it.
Kenny flopped vs Dundee United in particular despite a vow to improve the week before.
In fact, he is yet to find the net for Nancy which has proven to be his undoing.
Sutton, in his fresh pundit gig, has branded the Republic of Ireland cap “not good enough” for the club.
The retired target man reckons Kenny has not done enough to merit selection in future.
And he has further stuck the boot in by declaring the striker not good enough for ANY Premiership club’s starting spots.
“Johnny Kenny, I don’t think he would get a starting berth in virtually any team in the top-flight. I just don’t think he is good enough,” Sutton said.
It is, perhaps, a harsh truth for the former Sligo Rovers and Shamrock attacker to hear.
But Sutton has not been the only ex-Celt calling for a change on the frontline.
John Hartson blasted Kenny in a recent tweet as he demanded a new striker at the club.

He said: “Can we buy a centre forward in the window. Please ??”, accompanied by a four-leaf clover emoji.
That was a clear dig at the 22-year-old who has had his issues.
It is, of course, not only Kenny who has had a tough time of it in Glasgow recently.
Liam Scales was dropped in two victories which leaves his future in doubt under Nancy.
And Sutton took aim at others in the squad whom he feels are not cutting the mustard.
“A lot of noise surrounding (Viljami) Sinisalo because of Kasper Schmeichel’s poor form this season,” Sutton said.
“I don’t think he covered himself in glory.
“I still see the same old issues at Celtic.
“I think there are players who are starting, and who have started regularly under Wilfried Nancy, who shouldn’t be starting.
“They aren’t good enough to start. Hence why January is a big month.
“Anthony Ralston is really struggling in that right side of the defence.”
