Undefeated super-welterweight prospect Caoimhin Agyarko has slammed Conor Benn in a recent post on social media platform X.
The Irishman labelled Benn a ‘drug cheat’ and ‘embarrassing’ after facing off with four-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson.
Caoimhin Agyarko Slams Conor Benn On Social Media
Caoimhin Agyarko is currently preparing for the ‘hardest fight of my career’ against Brandon Adams on April 18, looking to come out on top in the IBF final eliminator to book his place as mandatory challenger to Josh Kelly’s throne.
The undefeated Irish boxer will get his maiden shot at world honours should he defeat Adams in America in April, and is fully focused on the job at hand.
However, ‘Black Thunder’ has still found time to have a rant about Conor Benn on social media. In a recent X post (formerly Twitter), Agyarko slammed Benn for his actions after getting in the ring to face-off with four-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson.
Benn was in attendance in New York as Stevenson defeated former champion Teofimo Lopez with a clinical performance, jumping in the ring after the scores were announced to confront the undefeated American pound-for-pound star.

Agyarko clearly wasn’t a fan of Benn’s actions, taking to social media to rant about it. The 18-0 fighter trying to make a fight with someone of Stevenson’s stature.
The 29-year-old labelled Benn a ‘drug cheat’ and ‘embarrassing’ in his social media post, as well as stating that the welterweight contender ‘needs a good beating’ to bring him down a peg or two.
Benn is yet to respond to Agyarko’s post, but will undoubtedly have seen it. It’s clear to see that Agyarko isn’t a fan of Benn, insisting that he hasn’t remotely earned his shot at facing off with any fighters on the level of Stevenson.

Could Caoimhin Agyarko Fight Conor Benn?
With Caoimhin Agyarko slamming Conor Benn on social media, this has kickstarted talk of a potential fight between the pair.
Although Agyarko is currently preparing for a fight with Brandon Adams on April 18 after a deal was reached for their IBF light-middleweight final eliminator, a fight with Benn is undoubtedly an attractive one financially for him down the line.
Benn’s last two fights have both been against Chris Eubank Jr up at middleweight, but he has stated his intent to return to his natural weight of welterweight (147-pounds) to challenge one of the four world champions.
If Benn returns to welterweight and wins a world title, he would likely stay there. However, a move to 154-pounds perhaps isn’t too far away for ‘The Destroyer’, with a fight against Agyarko a genuine possibility down the line.

Although the fight almost certainly won’t happen anytime soon, there is clearly some needle there and a narrative to build on between both fighters. Agyarko evidently isn’t a fan of Benn, who won’t have taken too kindly to Agyarko’s comments either.
If both men pick up world titles in their respective weight divisions, then who’s to say Benn vs Agyarko doesn’t happen down the line in a huge match-up in the super-welterweight division.
In the meantime, the Belfast man will aim to become the mandatory challenger for Josh Kelly’s IBF crown. Agyarko also climbed to second in the latest WBA world rankings, so is in a strong position with that sanctioning body too.
