Munster have named their side for Saturday’s crucial must-win Champions Cup clash with Castres Olympique at Thomond Park.
Elsewhere, Leinster are going for a fourth win. of this season’s Champions Cup and will secure home advantage in the knockouts if they beat Bayonne.
Tadhg Beirne will captain the team in his 100th appearance for the province, bringing leadership and experience to a squad looking to bounce back after last weekend’s narrow Toulon defeat.
Three changes feature from that Toulon side, with Thaakir Abrahams, Niall Scannell, and Jean Kleyn coming into the starting XV.
The back three sees Shane Daly, Abrahams, and academy graduate Ben O’Connor join forces, while Alex Nankivell and Tom Farrell continue their reliable centre partnership.

Half-backs will look to bring attacking spark in Castres clash
Craig Casey returns from a shoulder knock to partner Jack Crowley in the half-backs, offering both stability and attacking spark.
The front row of Jeremy Loughman, Niall Scannell, and Michael Ala’alatoa provides a solid platform, with Kleyn and Fineen Wycherley powering the engine room.
The back row remains unchanged, with Beirne joined by Jack O’Donoghue and Gavin Coombes, combining work-rate, physicality, and ball-carrying threat.
On the bench, Lee Barron, Michael Milne, and Oli Jager cover the front row, with Jager making his first matchday squad appearance since October after returning from a head injury. Edwin Edogbo and Brian Gleeson complete the forward replacements.
Ethan Coughlan, JJ Hanrahan, and Dan Kelly round out the backline replacements, ready to bring pace, creativity, and tactical flexibility when needed.

Munster without key players for big Champions cup showdown
