Conor McGregor has taken to social media once again, this time teasing even bigger fight purses for his UFC return.
The Irishman is rumoured to be fighting at UFC White House next summer, with his latest X post all but confirming his comeback.
Conor McGregor is adamant that he will fight and potentially headline UFC White House next summer on the South Lawn, to celebrate Donald Trump’s 80th birthday whilst commemorating 250 years of American independence.
McGregor’s UFC White House return is looking increasingly likely, with his latest social media post indicating that he will return to action and continue to earn multi-million dollar purses going forward.
The Irishman took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday afternoon, replying to a tweet about Muhammad Ali paving the way for boxers to earn multi-million dollar purses and McGregor paving the way for MMA fighters to do the same years later.
Although he hasn’t fought in four-and-a-half years, McGregor remains the highest paid MMA fighter in history by a distance. The 37-year-old earned several multi-million dollar paycheques, which in turn made him one of the richest athletes on the planet.
It was my pleasure! And just wait until you see this next round of fight purses!

McGregor’s social media post doesn’t only tease even bigger fight purses going forward, but also heavily implies that he will return to action.
A McGregor return has been spoken about countless times since his last MMA contest, but is yet to come to fruition. Although the Irishman seems serious about a fight at UFC White House this time, it remains to be seen whether it actually happens or not.
McGregor’s tweet reads: “It was my pleasure! And just wait until you see this next round of fight purses. Oh Mammy!”
This post clearly indicates that McGregor will continue to make mind-boggling fight purses upon his return, if indeed he does return to action and get back in the octagon.

Conor McGregor’s recent post on X talking about fight purses not only indicates that he will return to the cage and earn even more multi-million dollar purses, but also acknowledges that he played an integral part in making MMA fight purses what they are today.
Like Muhammad Ali did in boxing with several other big names continuing to do in the years after, the former two-division simultaneous UFC king undoubtedly paved the way for other MMA fighters to become multi-millionaires.
McGregor has stated ‘it was my pleasure’ to help other MMA fighters begin earning millions, which he has undoubtedly done.
The Irishman was the first global star from the sport of MMA, recognisable all over the globe. He mightn’t have been the first fighter to earn millions, but he was certainly the first fighter to do so on a continual basis.

For his sole boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather, McGregor earned a reported $100million+. Not to mention over $28.4m against Khabib Nurmagomedov, $23m for his UFC 364 fight with Dustin Poirier, $20m at UFC 257 and over $15m against Donald Cerrone to name but a few of his multi-million dollar purses.
Should the 37-year-old compete again inside the octagon, rest assured he will earn even bigger purses than some of these, potentially even cashing a career-high MMA payday in the process.
McGregor’s return could be bad news for Ian Garry, but it may also be positive in terms of inflating UFC purses even higher than they already are.
One thing you can guarantee is that Conor McGregor will earn jaw-dropping fight purses upon his UFC return, if indeed he does compete again inside the octagon.
Conor McGregor made $105M from punching people.
But that's pennies compared to his business ventures:
• Global whiskey empire
• Outrageous clothing brand
…and one deal that made him $600 MILLION overnight. Here's how he does it (and his most controversial tactics): pic.twitter.com/f1elG8e7GV
