In Episode 3 of ‘The Barbershop’, Electric Ireland GAA Minor Championships ambassadors, Derek McGrath, Karl Lacey, Alan Kerins and Mossy Quinn discuss the influence that senior stars can have on minor players.
Galway legend Kerins recalls how playing at minor level gave him the confidence that he would one day line out for the senior side.
“It just gave you that deep-down sense of ‘I want this badly’.”
Meanwhile, Mossy Quinn remembers watching Dublin teams as a child and using minor level as a stepping stone towards playing with his heroes.
