Reus and Kroos on Moyes list

Having signed Juan Mata and seemingly secured the services of Wayne Rooney on a long term deal, Man United boss David Moyes has now turned his attention to German pair Toni Kroos and Marco Reus. Both players have been in fine form in the Bundesliga this season and have caught the attention of the world’s top clubs.

Toni Kroos recently told German press that he is keeping his options open. The Bayern Munich midfielder has been linked with Man United and recently rejected a new contract at the Allianz arena. Rumours of a transfer to Old Trafford intensified after Moyes was seen watching the 24 year old with one of his representatives.

“I am unable to rule anything out,” said Kroos when asked about Man United. The German international has a year and a half remaining on his current contract with Bayern. “There have been no further talks (regarding a new contract),” said Kroos, adding that “a decision will be made in the future.”

United have also been linked to Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus. The German attacker has impressed of late and his style of play has led to him becoming revered as one of the best young players in the world. Reus has just 12 caps under his belt but will be one of the stars of the World Cup this summer.

Reus has scored 8 times in 18 appearances for Borussia Dotmund this season and the attacker has caught theeye of many of the top clbs such as Arsenal and Real Madrid as well as United. However the 24 year old has said he is committed to Dortmund. Yet having seen many of Dortmund’s players leave for new clubs and success, Reus might be wondering where boss Klopp intends to take the club, having lost Gotze and Lewandowski to rivals Bayern Munich.

With only a little while left in the transfer market, it looks increasingly unlikely that Moyes will get his men this month but the Red Devil’s boss will be happy having acquired Juan Mata, that his side can go into the crunch time of the season stronger than before the window. Moyes will not be deterred and will try to get his men in the summer and, backed by such large funds, he just might do it.
