Steph Curry was in his usual imperious form on Thursday night for the Golden State Warriors in their 127-107 win over Detroit.

The Warriors are top of the Western Conference as they improved their record to 34-6. A huge third quarter where the California side hit 41 points helped them to another victory as they made it three wins in a row.

Curry hit 24 points last night which alongside 23 points from Klay Thompson helped the free-scoring side earn a 7.5 game lead over the LA Clippers in the Pacific Division.

Overall, his performance was immense, and he showed time and time again throughout the evening why he is considered the very best basketball player around right now.

Efforts like this will help Curry, who is on course to win the MVP title for the third year in a row. More importantly, the Warriors will be looking to reach the NBA Championships again this year, after they lost a 3-1 lead last year against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Currently the favourites to win the Western Conference, there is a long time left in the NBA season, but the Warriors are looking good so far. if they continue on this run of form, they will be difficult to stop as they build momentum.
