With pressure coming from all sides, it’s seems inevitable that Louis van Gaal’s time as manager of Manchester United is almost over.

Dozens of reports across Europe have repeatedly suggested that the Dutchman is set to be fired as soon as the season ends. Manchester United have fanned the flames of those reports with their latest announcement.

Recently, the club released a statement pushing their season ticket renewal date from May 20th to June 1st. In the release, the club cited the team’s possible progression to the FA Cup Final as their motive to move the date to give fans more time to pay. However, United fans across Twitter have suggested the club might have an ulterior motive.

This date change could have been made to allow for Louis van Gaal’s sacking before the renewal period. Countless ticket holders have suggested they would not be renewing their ticket if the former Ajax man remained in charge.

The email reads: “Having qualified for the FA Cup semi-final after a thrilling replay against West Ham United, and with the club aiming to progress to the FA Cup final, we have decided to move the season ticket renewal deadline back from Friday 20th May, to Wednesday 1st June in order to give supporters more time to pay.”

This news  follows the even more suspect omission of manager Louis van Gaal from their pre-season tour promotional video. With Jose Mourinho the distant favorite to replace the Iron Tulip, these mysterious announcements will be music to those sections of United supporters begging for the Special One’s arrival.
