Ruby Walsh made a recovery from injury just in the nick of time for the Cheltenham festival, after sitting out large parts of the national hunt season. The jockey made a successful return yesterday, with winning rides on Footpad and Benie Des Dieux.
However, it appears that his week could be over, as he suffered an injury which ruled him out of the rest of the day. This means that he is unable to ride Douvan in the Queen Mother Champion Chase. This injury could be a lot worse, as there are reports that it could be a broken leg.

This comes as a hammer blow to the jockey himself, who underwent such a long and tough road to get back to full fitness, only to suffer another blow.
Although it is yet to be confirmed, it appears that Ruby won’t feature for the rest of the week.
