With the scores level at 14 apiece, the Brumbies scored one of the tries of the 2017 Super Rugby season so far against the defending champions the Hurricanes in their Friday night clash at McLean Park in Napier.
With the Brumbies gaining momentum after tying up the score, Brumbies’ captain Rory Arnold crashed under the posts to score his sides’ second try. The Canberra-based side were once again sparked into life from the kickoff, as Brumbies centre Tevita Kuridrani collected the ball inside his own 22-metre area and made a break up-field.
The move then continued with some great handling and offloads in the tackle between a number of different players, allowing Brumbies scrumhalf Nick Powell to scamper through for the try.
Watch the try below:
Unfortunately for the Brumbies, the Hurricanes were ruthless in the second half scoring 42 unanswered points to win the game 56-21. Hurricanes lead the way at the top of the overall Super Rugby table while their defeated opponents, although top of the Australian Conference, sit way back in tenth overall.
