Arsenal must look to the transfer market for a quick fix replacement following the news that Olivier Giroud is out for up to three months and reports claim that interest is now turning to Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck or QPR’s Loic Remy in a bid to bolster their attacking options.
Olivier Giroud could miss up to three months following the news that he suffered an ankle injury during the 2-2 draw with Everton.
With Giroud now injured for the early part of the season at least, Loic Remy and Danny Welbeck are both replacements that would certainly fill the boots of the Frenchman. write the Express.
Loic Remy was already poised for a move to a top Premier League club in Liverpool, which eventually fell through, but he would still be an exciting prospect for Arsenal and has proven his worth in the Premier League. He scored 14 goals while on loan at Newcastle United last season.
Conversely, Danny Welbeck hasn’t featured much in the Premier League with Manchester United in recent times. He made just 25 league appearances last season. However, it is believed that United would be against selling one of their goalscoring talents to a direct Premier League rival. Everton appears to be a more likely move for the 23-year-old.
Whether it’s Danny Welbeck or Loic Remy signing for the North London side in the coming days, Arsenal will be guaranteed a lot of talent up front. The more likely option at this stage appears to be Loic Remy but as we know from previous transfer windows a lot can happen in a short period of time.
