Brandt Snedeker has had a tough few months on the course, but all that was forgotten this weekend when he trumped Nick Watney by three strokes to win the AT & T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
It was Snedeker’s second win in three years at Pebble Beach and he did it all with a driver that’s been around the block.
According to GolfDigest.com , Sneds’ “driver is a TaylorMade Burner SuperFast — a driver introduced in 2010 and one with a current trade-in value of $20.34.”
That’s not all, the putter he used during his victory is over a decade old. Sneds’ sentimentality has paid dividends, as his Pebble Beach victory means he is back to 31st in the world rankings, and qualifies for the Masters.
