UFC 196 Embedded Goes Behind The Scenes Of Controversial Fight Week

Arguably the most anticipated UFC Embedded episode has been released just hours before UFC 196: McGregor vs Diaz begins.

The video begins immediately with Conor McGregor threatening to strangle Diaz teammate and former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields prior to his heated press conference staredown with Nate. Shields then offered to ‘fight him on the street’ in an interview with Gareth Davies.

Full audio of the riotous scenes is provided, although it mainly consists of profanity, while co-main event challenger Miesha Tate laughs at the ridiculousness of it all.

“Yeah he’s scared, trying to run off. What a little bitch!”, said Nate after the near scuffle. The rest is unprintable.

An equally pumped up McGregor returns to his hotel room doing his best Vince McMahon strut, and McGregor appears to be the happier of the two, with his strike to Diaz’s hand infuriating the latter.

Perhaps the biggest surprise here is the warm embrace the Irishman has with ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ rival coach Urijah Faber. A moment of calm before the Stockton-sized storm.
