Just five rounds to go before the Premier League Darts Finals take place. We preview week eleven in Aberdeen and look back on what’s been another controversial week off the oche.
MVG’s exposé
Michael van Gerwen finds himself in hot water this week, after text messages he sent to a women were apparently exposed.
In response to an article published by The Sun accusing him of extramarital infidelity, the former World Champion gave this response through his solicitors:

Jackpot Cashes In
Adrian Lewis won Players Championships Three and Five at the weekend, beating Robert Thornton and Brendan Dolan in the respective finals. Two wins and a runner up finish (to Michael van Gerwen) in three days comes off the back of Lewis narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League Darts a few weeks ago; perhaps suggesting that he could make a real run for a play-off place.

Premier League Darts Week 11 – Venue: GE Oil & Gas Arena, Aberdeen
Thursday April 16 – Matches:
Dave Chisnall v Phil Taylor 7.20pm
Taylor now has more defeats than losses in the League. Chisnall beat him 7-4 in the league two weeks ago and Chisnall will have gained a bit of confidence from the win. Taylor has now lost four of his five and it’s therefore opportune timing for Chizzy to complete the double.
Prediction: Dave Chisnall

Stephen Bunting v Adrian Lewis 8pm
The Scouser is winless in four games and has the worst leg difference to date of the remaining players. As mentioned, Lewis seems to be back in form.
Bunting beat Lewis 7-3 the last time they met in the Premier League, but their fortunes seem to have reversed since then. Lewis at 10/11 looks pretty sound.
Prediction: Adrian Lewis

James Wade v Gary Anderson 8.45pm
Anderson had a narrow win the last time he played a League match in Scotland (Glasgow), beating Kim Huybrechts. The partisan Scottish crowd could well give Gary the edge after both players lost last week.
Wade himself only has two wins in his last eight Premier League Darts matches, and is quickly losing ground on the top three. Anderson to make it two in nine with the help of home advantage.
Prediction: Gary Anderson

Raymond van Barneveld v Michael van Gerwen 9.30pm
Easily the match of the night. Amid his current woes, MVG is in excellent form; winning the Players Championship Four at the weekend and remaining unbeaten in ten matches in the Premier League Darts.
Barneveld is still hovering around bottom of the League table, despite thrashing Phil Taylor 7-2 last week.
Anything could happen here, so we’ll sit on the fence and call a draw.
Prediction: Draw

Stephen Bunting v Phil Taylor 10.15pm
The Power beat Bunting 7-1 in the reverse fixture back in week three. Taylor’s very poor form surely can’t last much longer, with just two points separating him from the bottom now compared to a month ago where he seemingly had a play-off place sown up.
Bunting’s playing well in the Premier League Darts without getting much in return, a trend he’ll have to reverse sooner rather than later. We can’t see it happening here.
Prediction: Phil Taylor
