Audie Attar has had a week straight from hell.
Firstly, his client Tony Ferguson tripped over a cable on April Fools day, ruling him out of UFC 223’s main event and a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov for the fourth time. Then on Thursday, the Paradigm Sport representative had to contend with his most famous client, Conor McGregor, attacking a bus full of UFC fighters and getting arrested.
Attar has remained calm and backed McGregor to the hilt however, in a statement he released on Twitter on Saturday. It’s interesting to note the final line, which may see the Irishman hasten his return to the relative calm of fighting for a living, as opposed to some of his shenanigans over the last few months.
“So much rumor and misinformation about my client, Conor McGregor”, he wrote.
“The matter is in the hands of law enforcement and I cannot really say more. Conor is a great father, a fiercely loyal friend, and one of the best athletes in the world. He looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible.”

Ariel Helwani did report that plans were in place to bring ‘The Notorious’ back to the UFC fold this weekend, with a view to having him fight either Nurmagomedov for the lightweight championship, or Rafael Dos Anjos for the interim welterweight belt.
McGregor’s antics on Thursday may have cost him more than we realised.
