SBG Charlestown’s Owen Roddy has released the first in his long-awaited series looking into Conor McGregor’s ongoing fight camp ahead of his showdown with Floyd Mayweather later this month.
Conor McGregor’s preparations for his upcoming boxing match with the legendary Floyd Mayweather have garnered him just about as much media attention as any of his UFC wins to date but despite his heavily-publicised feud with the former two-weight world champion Paulie Malignaggi, it will all be seen as little more than a distant memory when he steps into the ring on August 26.
Roddy, who, of course, is Conor’s long time striking coach, has made a habit in recent times of chronicling McGregor’s fight camps and publishing the resulting videos to the official SBG Charlestown YouTube channel, but this time around the stature of the event within the context of combat sports history has made this series by far the most anticipated to date.
The video shows Conor and his team acclimatising to the harsh desert heat while also utilising the recently-opened UFC Performance Institute and all of the state-of-the-art facilities found within and while the content we’ve gotten this time around is nothing too spectacular, fans can look forward to getting more in-depth glances into this soon-to-be legendary fight camp over the course of the coming weeks.
