Lyon’s Memphis Depay just scored from the halfway line and is doing a good job at reminding the world why he’s still one to watch in the future.
United fans look away now.
The former Red Devils flop has just scored a frankly ridiculous 45+ yard effort, catching the opposing keeper completely off of his line and putting his Lyon side four goals up against 11th ranked Toulouse FC.
Memphis was, of course, known for his impressive showings for both his old club PSV Eindhoven and his country, the Netherlands but unfortunately for him, his most noteworthy spell came during his ill-fated year-and-a-half stint with Manchester United.
Depay just never seemed to find his footing at Old Trafford and sure enough, when the opportunity to move to the French Ligue 1 giants Lyon came about, Depay was sold and is now looking more and more like the player that United thought they had signed in 2015.
Ridiculous goal from Memphis Depay! 😧⚽️ https://t.co/6QCxwYihSN
