Conor McGregor spoke during his recent media workouts and gave insight into a few select boxers who he has found himself in admiration of over the years.
Conor McGregor, as we know him, has never been one to throw praise in the direction of his fellow MMA fighters but despite the obvious fact that many would have influenced him as he made his rise, for the most part, the words he has shared about those alongside him in the UFC have been generally been hostile in their makeup.
So when the man himself decided to give us all an insight into some of his own personal favourite boxers, it did seem a bit out of character but in truth, it was interesting to hear exactly what he thought about those men whose sport he has slowly started to invade.
Muhammad Ali, Prince Naseem Hamed, Chris Eubank, Roy Jones Jr. and more were among those legends he held in high regard and on top of that, the likes of Gervonta Davis, Guillermo Rigondeaux and even Vasyl Lomachenko (to some extent) were included among those listed.
The entire interview was a truly intriguing look into the man behind the fighter but this section, in particular, proved what a student of the game McGregor continues to be.
