A pretty awkward clip has emerged for Eddie Jones with Ireland’s Grand Slam deciding clash with England just days away…
Given his outspoken nature, Eddie Jones is never too far from controversy. However, on Wednesday evening, a clip emerged that could well see the England coach finding himself in some very hot water.
Given a speech at a ‘FUSO Talk’ last year, the 58-year-old is seen referring to Ireland as a ‘scummy’ people while he also labels Wales as a ‘little shit place’ with just three million people.
“We’ve only lost one test to the scummy Irish…we’ll get em back” – Eddie Jones, 2017. Our scummy hands are just going to leave this here?.
More on this in today’s ????????? special. Plus Ken on Jose. Go get it ? https://t.co/TXILnN6ZbI pic.twitter.com/VGiNjIEcPv

As well as calling Ireland “the scummy Irish” (17.45) , he says Wales “this little shit place with 3m people” (7.05)
I think he was trying to be funny

Although Jones was undoubtedly making a rather pathetic stab at humour, the quotes undoubtedly come off as both classless and derogatory.
Following a loss to Scotland, England missed out on the chance to claim their third successive Six Nations with a loss to France last weekend. The defeat meant that Ireland have already been crowned as the 2018 champions and will be looking to secure a Grand Slam when they visit Twickenham this weekend.
