After 30 days of some scintillating rugby in both the southern and northern hemispheres, here’s a list of the top five tries for the month of April.

Following on from Sky Sports New Zealand show Post-Match’s look back at the history of Super Rugby and the top five individual tries ever scored in the competition. I have decided to compile a video of the best five tries I could find from around the world this past month.

The list includes two moments of magic, first from Stormers wing Dillyn Leyds, as he throws an outrageous offload to teammate SP Marais. The second is from European Player of the Year nominee for 2017 Garry Ringrose, who darted his way through the Clermont defence before sprinting 50 metres to score.

The other three were fantastic team efforts, two scored in Super Rugby and the other in club rugby by the Guernsey Raiders.

Watch the fantastic efforts below:

Here’s how I would rate the top five:

  1. Toni Pulu (Chiefs)
  2. Joe Powell (Brumbies)
  3. Garry Ringrose (Leinster)
  4. SP Marais (Stormers)
  5. Malcolm Barnes (Guernsey Raiders)

Who would be first in your list? Have I missed any other spectacular tries?
