19 Year Old Sekou Macalou fended Munster players off like flies.
When Stade Francais announced that they were giving Sekou Macalou his European debut against Munster, it raised many eyebrows.
Tonight’s game was after all a pivotal game for both sides, with the losers facing an immediate exit from the tournament.
Indeed the gamble to start Macalou could have been brought into question after Josaia Raisuqe’s sending off. However the flanker repaid the faith shown in him by coach, Gonzalo Quesada, scoring a brilliant try.
The athletic flanker handed off numerous players and stepped Keith Earls before touching down to score a remarkable try.
Although many were surprised by Macalou ability, Munster should have been well aware of it after he scored a very similar try against Ireland in the Under 20 Six Nations Championship last season.
