Silvère Tian lost the plot with Romain Poite.
In what was an otherwise mundane Top 14 clash between Oyonnax and Grenoble today, Romain Poite was forced to send Silvère Tian off, after the fullback told the match referee he was sh*t.
The Oyonnax player was initially handed a yellow card after infringing at a ruck inside his own 22, however he reacted to the decision by insulting the French referee. As a result, Poite was left with little choice but to send Tian off.
The incident did not end there though. After Poite had blown the final whistle, the irate full back had to be restrained as he attempted to confront the referee as he made his way down the tunnel.
When Tian was sent off in the 70th minute, the scores were level at 20 points apiece, however a tired Oyonnax were unable to hold on, conceding the match winning score in the final minute.
The incident will leave the 35 year old Ivory Coast international facing a lengthy ban.
