Harlequins got the European season under way last night.
Although many of us are not used to watching rugby on a Thursday night, we could grow accustomed to it after Harlequins scored six tries last night.
Despite trailing 9-0 and suffering at the hands of a tough Montpellier scrum, Quins played some brilliant rugby to win the game 41-18. Perhaps the turning point of the game came when Montpellier’s Georgian Prop, Mikheil Nariashvili was yellow carded.
It was while Nariashvili was sitting in the sin bin that Harlequins scored their first try after Luke Wallace burrowed over. From that point Conor O’Shea’s men never looked liked losing, running in a further five tries.
The pick of which was this brilliant team effort finished off by Ollie Lindsay- Hague. After Marland Yarde kicked ahead from a turn over, he regathered the ball before passing into Danny Care. The scrum half then found Mike Brown, who in turn passed to Lindsay- Hague to score.
Although it was scored on on the opening weekend of the European season, Lindsay- Hague’s try will take some beating.
