Watch: Glasgow Score Amazing Length-Of-The-Field Try Against Leinster

Glasgow scored an amazing length-of-the-field try during their 31-21 win over Leinster at Scotstoun on Friday night.

In what will probably go down as the try of the season, explosive Fijian scrum-half-cum-winger Nikola Matawalu receives the ball near his 5m line and decides to have a go. Sprinting out of his 22, he works his way into the Leinster half, leaving a trail of defenders behind him with his sheer pace.

With Leinster’s retreating defence still unable to get hold of him, he storms into the 22 where with the line beckoning, he unselfishly feeds it out to centre Nick Grigg who goes over for a truly scintillating score.

With both teams much-changed from their recent Champions Cup clash, they put on an exciting seven try show, with Grigg bagging another try and scrum-half George Horne also touching down twice for the home side.

Meanwhile, Jamison Gibson-Park, Rory Loughlin and Adam Byrne crossed for Leinster.

The win gave Dave Rennie’s men a little bit of revenge over their Irish neighbours after Leo Cullen’s men effectively ended their European hopes last month by inflicting an 34-18 defeat on them.
