Denny Solomona was a big omission from Eddie Jones’ England training squad last week, as the big winger has been making waves with Sale Sharks.
After a promising start to his England career in Argentina over the summer, many expected Solomona to push on and be part of Jones’ plans for the coming year. However, after being sent home from an England camp last month, there was doubt cast over his future representing the Red Rose.
Jones was clear in recent weeks that the 23-year-old just needed to keep his head down and keep doing his talking on the pitch. He certainly has been doing just that.
This evening, Sale hosted Gloucester in the Premiership, and ran riot, winning out 57-10.
The first of the game was possibly the pick of the bunch, as Solomona got the ball out wide early, running at the opposition defence, before executing a delightful chip and collecting it to cross the try-line and touch down underneath the posts.
Take a look.

Eddie Jones is known to be his own man, and while the recent controversy surrounding the Sale winger will have an impact, if Solomona keeps on producing moments of magic like this, he could be back in the England squad soon.
