Andy Goode’s “bulk” has given rise to a number of jokes this season.
When the Newcastle Falcons signed Andy Goode in order to give themselves a chance at avoiding relegation, many Premiership fans questioned Dean Richards’ logic after seeing the fly half’s body shape.
Despite carry an extra few pounds, Goode has since won over Newcaslte supporters with some impressive performances.
Last night was no different, after the former England international kicked 13 points in the Falcons 29-14 win over the Leicester Tigers.
Such has been his impact, that it appears the Falcons may extend the original three month contract he signed at the turn of the year.
However when questioned on the subject on BT Sport last nigh, Dean Richards spoke about the only obstacle standing in the way of such a deal.
