Wasps fly half Danny Cipriani continued his recent good club form against Newcastle Falcons on Friday evening, scoring an excellent try to help his team to a narrow but exciting 34 – 30 at Kingston Park.
With his team struggling to make headway into Newcastle’s 22, the fly-half took the matter into his own hands after a ricocheted ball landed nicely for him.
Cipriani nonchalantly kicked the ball over the waiting defenders, collected his own kick and easily crossed the line for a score that he made look so easy.
Despite his impressive form for his club, Cipriani would have been very disappointed to have learnt he has failed to make either of Eddie Jones’ squads that the Australian announced the day after the Newcastle game. Whilst Cipriani might not have expected to make the 33 man squad with both Owen Farrell and George Ford ahead of him, he can feel aggrieved to be granted a squad in the 45 man extended group. The third fly-half spot instead goes to Saracens understudy Alex Lozowski.

Cipriani, however, has learnt to deal well with disappointments and posted this Tweet on Friday evening:
We have lots to improve on. Which is a great thing, we can keep getting better. Attitude and desire can not be questioned ?? @WaspsRugby
