Watch: Clermont Rugby Players Prove They Cannot Sing

In the true Christmas spirit, five rugby players from Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne got together to absolutely butcher a classic festive song.

Charlie Cassang, Camille Gérondeau, Arthur Iturria, Ludovic Radosavljevic and Michaël Simutoga can be seen trying to sing along to ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey. They met up at the famous ‘Clermont-Ferrand Opera Theatre’ to record their latest hit, which has gone down very well with the club’s supporters.

Sadly, whilst the players are clearly very talented on the pitch, they really have no just reason here to give up their day jobs.

Luckily for the club, this was all done in jest to wish fans of the Clermont Auvergne a Merry Christmas.

Warning: Those of a sensitive nature may wish to look away now.

One has to wonder what some of the finest vocal talents on offer in the Aviva Premiership or Pro12 might be. This writer’s money is on Mako Vunipola having a fantastic falsetto singing voice.

Former England, Bath and Saracens prop Matt Stevens once did pretty well in ‘X Factor: Battle Of The Stars’ back in 2006, although he was beaten in the final against Lucy Benjamin who was once in Eastenders, apparently.
