While England fans maybe divided over whether or not Christian Wade has the physical characteristics to play international rugby, most will agree that he is one of the Premiership’s most exciting wingers.
Armed with lightening pace and a devastating step, Wade evades defenders in a similar vein to Shane Williams. Indeed, once Wasps put the diminutive winger into space, opponents struggle to deal with the winger’s trickery.
Over the years Wade has embarrassed some very distinguished opponents, and even managed to score six tries in a single match against the Worcester Warriors last season.
Despite such feats, the 25 year-old has only managed to earn a single England cap, and finds himself behind more physical players such as Semesa Rokoduguni, Marland Yarde, Jack Nowell and possibly Elliot Daly.
England’s loss is Wasps’ gain, as Wade continues to carve open some of the best teams the Premiership has to offer.
Today was no different, after the 5 ft 8 in winger scored a breathtaking hat-trick. The most entertaining of his three tries saw Wade beat six Bath players before touching down.

Of course, while everyone will applaud Wade’s mesmeric ability, he should really work on his celebration…
