Warren Gatland Makes 12 Changes In Wales XV To Face The All Blacks

Wales coach Warren Gatland has made a dozen changes for this weekend’s clash against New Zealand.

Captain Alun Wyn Jones comes back into the team from the XV that ground out a win against Georgia at the Principality Stadium last Saturday.

Scott Williams, Hallam Amos and Rhys Webb are the only ones that survive from last weekend.

Indeed, the team that Gatland has chosen is the same one that lost out to Australia at the beginning of the month. Leigh Halfpenny returns at full back with Liam Williams ruled out through injury, Owen Williams and Scott Williams make up the centre partnership with Amos and Steff Evans starting in the wing positions.

Justin Tipuric has lost out to Josh Navidi in the openside flanker battle, while last week’s captain Dan Lydiate is left out of the 23 altogether – Aaron Shingler comes in to replace him.

Jamie Roberts, meanwhile, has been named among the replacements having been dropped from the initial Novmber series squad as Gatland looked to evolve the teams style of play. It appears, however, as if injuries have forced his hand in that regard.
