Video: Samoa v New Zealand Highlights

Dan Carter scored 20 of New Zealand’s 25 points as the All-Black’s were made to work hard for a nine point win over Samoa early this morning.

However, perhaps the standout moment of the match was Alafoti Faosiliva’s try, carrying for two out of three phases to cross the New Zealand line.

It was a promising display for the Pacific Islanders, who harbour real ambitions of reaching a World Cup quarter-final for the first time since 1995. On this evidence, Scotland fans ought to be worried about their chances this Autumn.

New Zealand, meanwhile, may have been hopeful of a bigger winning margin, but considering the strong Samoan challenge, they will be happy with the win.
