Watch: Monstrous Isa Nacewa Hit Flattens AJ MacGinty

Isa Nacewa may not have the same speed or agility that he had a few years ago but the Aucklander can still flatten the best ball carriers in the right tackle.

Nacewa, 33, had a relatively quiet first-half in Saturday’s Pro 12 encounter between Connacht and Leinster, that is until USA fly-half AJ MacGinty decided to venture down Leinster’s left wing on what looked like a promising attack.

MacGinty is far from a bruiser or a big ball carrier but his physical stature seemed to matter little in this tackle as Nacewa had no problem in smashing the Dubliner into the unforgiving Galway turf.

Pat Lam’s side had all the momentum up until that point when Nacewa stopped a prospective Connacht attack dead in its tracks with a bone-jarring hit on MacGinty.

The Westerners would retain the ball and score a few plays later but there’s no doubt that Nacewa can still produce moments of magic when the right opportunity arises.
