Japan made Rugby World Cup History by beat the Springboks 34-32
Upsets rarely occur in Rugby. While Wales have been exposed by Pacific Island nations on more than one occasion, the big southern hemisphere teams have never experienced a defeat like that which South Africa suffered this evening.
Rugby viewers throughout the World were almost counting down to this evening clash between France and Italy, expecting both Ireland and South Africa to dismiss their opponents.
Indeed while Georgia’s victory early today was unexpected, South Africa’s defeat has come out of the blue and Twitter erupted to celebrate the World Cup’s greatest upset, with many in the sporting world offering their congratulations.
