World Cup star Ayumu Goromaru looks set for a sensational switch to French giants Toulon at the start of next season.
The Japanese fullback led the Brave Blossoms to their historic victory over South Africa in England, scoring 24 of his team’s 34 points.
He will play with the Queensland Reds for the Super Rugby season, but then will join Toulon according to today’s reports.
Canal+ reporting that Japan fullback Ayumu Goromaru has signed a two-year deal with Toulon. Joins after Super Rugby season.

The Japanese kicker will be a major asset to a side already stacked with talent, but offers another world class option in the number 15 jersey.
Goromaru put in one of the all-time great World Cup performances in that famous win over the Springboks, personal highlights of which can be seen in this video, via RugbyA1.
Goromaru is a top class operator, and will add an extra dynamic to an already star-studded backline at Toulon.
