Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium is set to undergo a name change.
One of rugby’s most iconic grounds is set to undergo a name change, with the Millennium Stadium to become known as the Principality Stadium at the turn of the year.
The name change is part of a ten year naming rights agreement with the Principality Building Society and will see Wales’ game with Scotland on February 13 become the first international fixture held at the renamed venue.
While the sale of the naming rights has the potential to earn the WRU up to £15 million, supporters are not too keen on the change, with fans preferring the stadiums original name on a Wales Online poll.
