TBT: O’ Driscoll stuns the French

For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we look back at Brian O’Driscoll’s magnificent hat-trick against France 13 years ago as the Irish legend embarks on his last season in the game.

On the 19th of March 2000, Leinster’s Brian O’Driscoll announced himself on the international stage with a stunning hat trick of tries to lead Ireland to a famous win at the Stade de France in Paris. It was Ireland’s first win in France in 17 years and an Irish legend had been born. O’Driscoll has gone to cement his place as one of the greatest(if not the greatest) centres to have graced the game. A true Leinster, Ireland and Lions legend.

It will be an emotional farewell at the end of the upcoming season to say the least.
