In anticipation of the beginning of Joe Schmidt’s reign as Ireland Head Coach, we look back at Ireland’s historic win over England in Croke Park back in 2007.
The first game played between the two at GAA headquarters certainly lived up to expectations, with Ireland coming out victorious 43 – 13. From Girvan Dempsey’s brilliantly taken try to Ronan O Gara’s beautifully weighted kick for Shane Horgan’s try, It was a proud day to be Irish. Lets hope for many more memories like this under new Head Coach, Joe Schmidt.
February 24th, 2007 will live long in the memory.
