Home Rugby TBT: Ireland 43-13 England

TBT: Ireland 43-13 England

For this weeks Throwback Thursday, we look back at the famous Six Nations fixture between Ireland and England at Croke Park in 2007.

With Lansdowne road under construction, controversially the home of the GAA was opened to both rugby and soccer. The thought of losing to England at Croke Park seemed unimaginable. An emotional day followed with Ireland producing an unforgettable performance to win by 43-13. Tries from Girvan Dempsey, David Wallace, Isaac Boss and Shane Horgan setting Ireland on their way on an historic day. With Peter Stringer and Ronan O’Gara at their best, England just had no answer. It was Ireland’s day to remember. A day that will forever go down in Irish rugby history.

A magical night in Dublin and one that will forever live on in the hearts of Irish rugby fans.
