Based on statistical evidence this is the Premiership’s team of the season.

The guys over at rugby.net have for some time now, compiled lists detailing the best players in the world. Using mathematically generated data, they claim to objectively rate players from each of rugby’s elite competitions.

Using their Rugby Net Rating Engine, thy interoperate an array of statistics, give them a weighting according to the competitions in which they were recorded and publish them using a complicated mathematical equation.

In order to give their findings some context, rugby.net publish their results through a series of top tens, categorised by position, competition and hemisphere.

As they keep their data up date, we thought it would be a good idea to find out who they rate as being the Premiership’s best XV as the regular season came to a conclusion.
