England team morale is surely at an all-time high after two thrilling wins to open their Six Nations defence against France and Wales.
Exeter teammates Jack Nowell and Henry Slade are both part of Eddie Jones’ squad for the tournament as the Australian looks to retain the title his side won in such convincing style last year and on Tuesday night, the pair were responsible for a Twitter exchange for the ages.
For the day that was in it, 23-year-old Slade tweeted:
“Retweet if you fancy a valentines date tonight?”
Nowell’s response was brilliant.
Behave @Sladey_10 we all know your night consists of a box tissues and some KY jelly 👀

Also of Exeter Chiefs, Sam Hill came to the utility back’s defence soon after.
worst thing about this is that he actually tweeted it himself 😷

Nowell was having none of it and quickly hit back at Hill.

Nowell started for the defending champions at the Principality Stadium on Saturday as they edged out Wales with Elliot Daly crossing late on to see his side run out 21-16 winners.
