Sébastien Chabal is regarded as one of the most physical players to ever grace the game of rugby football. The French giant played at number 8 throughout a glittered career, and be it for Bourgoin, Sale Sharks, Racing Metro, Lyon or France, he always brought the pain.

He is renowned for those big hits he used to put in around the park, and was a symbol for French rugby throughout his career.

In a truly amazing career, Chabal laid down marker after marker in the big games, shooting out of the line to make crucial tackles, and he was revered around Europe for his running with ball in hand.

Throughout his career, there are too many hits to keep count of. Fortunately, the good people of Youtube channel The Ten Best have put a video together compiling his biggest hits and tackles.

Take a look. What a beast!

Chabal’s career coincided with that of Imanol Harinordoquy, and thus he didn’t get as much game-time with Les Bleus as perhaps he should have. Nonetheless, he was a top talent, and will go down as one of the most physical players to ever play the game.
