Saracens’ rescheduled Champions Cup clash with Clermont looks set to go ahead on Monday – and fans will still be able to attend it.

The game at Allianz Park was originally due to take place on Sunday, but adverse weather conditions led to its postponement. Consequently, the EPCR released a statement later that evening stating that the game would be rescheduled for Monday the 11th of December, but due to health and safety concerns it would have to be played behind closed doors.

However, this now does not seem to be the case, as Sarries have on Monday morning released a statement of their own confirming that, having undertaken an assessment of te facilities overnight and consulted with the EPCR, all tickets for Sunday’s clash will still be valid for the new date.

In message to supporters, club chairman Nigel Wray said:

“We look forward to seeing as many of you here as possible. We will do what we can to not be beaten by the adverse conditions put in front of us, both on and off the pitch – it’s the British Way, it’s the Saracens Way. Real supporters with real tickets will always be welcome.”

As it stands, the game will go ahead at 5.30pm.
