Only a few short weeks ago the Australian media were debating the merits of including Christian Lealiifano in the Wallabies starting XV to face England.
Due to the fact that many of Australia’s backs were either injured or unavailable, the debate seemed massively important at the time.
However when the Brumbies last night announced that Lealiifano had been diagnosed with Leukaemia, any debate surrounding his inclusion in the Australian starting XV was quickly put into context.
Indeed, not only were Lealiifano’s friends and teammates quick to offer their support, but many of his on field opponents also.
The thoughts of the @AllBlacks are with Christian Lealiifano after being diagnosed with Leukaemia.
