Pau are said to be on the verge of signing a third All Black.
Despite flirting with relegation, Top 14 side Pau, are said to be in advanced talks with World Cup winning All Black winger, Cory Jane.
Although Jane is under contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union until 2017, ESPN believe that the winger will be released early to accommodate the move.
Indeed the NZRU have been open to such a idea for some time, after we reported last December that they would consider releasing the winger should Jane chose to move to Europe at the end of the 2016 Super Rugby season.
After falling behind the likes of Nehe Milner-Skudder, Ben Smith, Julian Savea and Waisake Naholo, a European move would not come as too much of a surprise.
Nevertheless a move to Pau would be, as Jane had previously been linked with Dan Carter’s Racing 92. If Jane does move to Pau, he would join fellow World Cup winning All Blacks Conrad Smith and Colin Slade.
However given that Pau are currently third from bottom in the Top 14 and have only won four games this season, Jane could find life a little difficult in France.
